The Church is still God's vehicle to change the world. When we allow God to use us, our willingness to serve, minister, and love those for whom He died, it's an impact to our generation. He has called us to do whatever it takes to see the lost won.
We as the Church, are God’s hands, mouth, and feet in this world—the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). We are to love like Jesus loved and serve like Jesus served. We're on a mission from God! A divine madate to Save The Lost; to Strengthen Families; and to Shape Up The believer. (Matthew 28:18-20).
That is the heartbeat of God and the heart we, at ECC, are after... Hearts aligned with God's heart and purpose!
To Serve Is To Love
Let all that you do be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14)
Before we can discover what our particular ministry in Christ is, we must first understand what the Bible means when it speaks of "ministry." "Ministry" is love in action. Jesus provided the pattern for Christian ministry--He came, not to receive service, but to give it. WHY? Because He loved the people He served. (see Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:1-17). At ECC we nurture people of all ages in the Christian faith and help them practice the disciplines of discipleship. ECC exists not to serve itself but to serve others.
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17)
ECC's eGroups are the gathering together of groups of people on a regular basis for the purpose of fellowship; study of the Bible, and to offer support for one another's goals, and encouragement for life's challenges.
There is always a scriptural aspect to an eGroup either through Bible study, devotions, scripture readings or prayer. eGroups always have an empty chair for new members. New people are encouraged to join a group, helping them to meet others and feel like part of the community.
